As long as you have your finger there is no need to worry. In fact I can use a key or set a password for someone to get in in case they are taking care of the dogs while I am away and they lost the key. It seems this company thought of everything! This unit does more smoothly than one that my friend owns which is a big name brand and has problems frequently. ”
